An advanced version of the Casio VL-Tone 1 and PT-1, it also includes a melody guide lighting feature for music teaching and a ROM- Pack music cartridge slot.  Unlike the multi-octave VL-1, the PT-82 keyboard is limited to just the octaves on the keyboard.

CASIO VL-1

The VL-1 was actually the first instrument of Casio’s VL-Tone product line, and was also a functioning calculator!  VL-1 sounds created by filtered squarewaves with varied pulse-widths or vintage Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).

ADSR
Fantasy

An advanced unit, it featured a programmable synthesizer which provided for oscillator waveform and ADSR envelope (VCA) selections.

Fun Fact:
German band Trio used the VL-1 in the hit song from the 80′s “Da Da Da”.

The Casio Casiotone MT-100 has 8-note polyphony, a 49-key keyboard, and 20 instrument patches!  For rhythm, it has 12 different programs, plus an analog percussion generator (bass drum, snare, 2 toms, and high hats, etc). It also features both fingered & Casio Chord accompaniment.

Fun Fact: The MT-100 is used by They Might Be Giants!
